Publishing
Every change waits in your preview until you publish. Here is how to read the signals that tell you what is where.
Your preview is a private copy of the website that only you and your team can see. All edits, chat and click-to-edit alike, land here first.
The amber "not live yet" counter next to Go Live counts the pages that differ from your live site. Hover it to see which pages.
When the counter is gone and the button says Live, your preview and your live site match.
If you close the tab with unpublished changes, the editor warns you. Your changes stay saved in the preview either way; the warning is only so you do not forget to publish.
Work from an earlier day is still in your preview when you come back. Press Go Live whenever you are ready.
The preview looks older than my last edit.
Press Refresh at the top of the preview. After a save the preview rebuilds for about a minute and can briefly show the previous version.
The preview shows a login page instead of my site.
Some sites require sign-in (member portals). The editor signs the preview in for you where it can; if you still see a login page, press Open at the top of the preview to view it in its own tab. Your edits are saved regardless.
