Talking to the AI

How to word a request so it lands exactly where you meant, the first time.

Step by step

Name the page. "On my About page, shorten the first paragraph" always beats "shorten the first paragraph". The AI edits the page you name even if the preview is showing a different one, and it tells you which page it edited at the start of every reply.

Describe the result, not the method. "Make this headline friendlier and half as long" is perfect. You do not need to know how it is built.

One change at a time is fastest. Long lists get split anyway, and short requests are easier to check in the preview.

Paste real text in quotes when you want exact wording: change "Book now" to "Reserve your spot".

If the AI asks a question, answer it. It asks when a request could land in two places, which is exactly the moment a wrong guess would cost you time.

Watch for the Tip line at the end of replies. It is the AI coaching you on the thing that would have made that request easier.
To take something back, just say "put it back the way it was". The AI restores the exact original, not a rewrite.

It edited the wrong page.

Say "undo that" or press the Undo button, then repeat the request with the page named: "on my Services page, ...".

It changed more than I asked.

Press Undo, then narrow the request: quote the exact sentence you want changed and say "only that sentence".
