Editing text by clicking

Click any paragraph or heading in the preview and type. It saves by itself.

Step by step

Hover over text in the preview. Editable text shows a soft blue outline.

Click it and type your change, just like a document. Headings, paragraphs, and list items all work.

Click anywhere else, or click the next paragraph, and your edit saves to the preview automatically. You can also press Save in the little toolbar.

Changed your mind mid-edit? Press Cancel in the toolbar or the Escape key to put the text back before saving.

Nothing you type here touches the live site. When you are happy, press Go Live at the top.

Good to know

Moving between pages while an edit is open is fine. The editor saves the open edit before the page changes.
Menus and footers are not editable by clicking, because they appear on every page. Ask the AI in chat instead: "change the footer phone number to ...".

If something looks wrong

I clicked text and nothing happened.

Text inside the header menu, footer, buttons, and forms is protected. Use the chat for those.

My edit vanished after I clicked to another page.

It saved. The preview can show the older version of a page for about a minute after a save while it rebuilds. Press Refresh at the top of the preview.
